LAUNCH post

      My first launch day was very exciting and I enjoyed it very much. I liked not having classes all day and instead I got to have fun with my friends. The day did feel very long though and I was running out of energy. I liked the presentations in front go the whole school the most out of all of them.    One presentation that I thought was really interesting was Caroline's one about food. I feel like that one was super relatable to everybody. I like how she figured out how stores are set up to spend all your money on things you want, not need. The needs are in the back and the wants are what you first see when you walk in.

LOTF response

The world, that understandable and lawful world, was slipping away.  Once there was this and that; and now--and the ship had gone. [... Jack refusing to give Piggy the floor when he has the conch...] "The rules!" shouted Ralph.  "You're breaking the rules!" "Who cares?" Ralph summoned his wits. "Because the rules are the only thing we've got!" But Jack was shouting against him. (91)             This passage symbolizes the loss of the old civilization these boys had. The longer they were stranded on the  island, the more insane they became. The boys were losing order, authority, and organization. This passage is significant because the loss of order led up to Simon and Piggy's deaths and when Jack takes power from Ralph.     This passage also foreshadows...

ew semester reflection

      Three things I learned about being a student last semester are new things I haven't ever thought about. One thing is that I am now in high school. This means I have to start working towards my future. A second thing I learned is that I don't have to be silent constantly in class. I don't care what anyone thinks and it's actually really hard to get in big trouble in class which doesn't happen so no need to worry about it. The third thing I learned is to embrace where I am. Where I am in my studies, my location, my friendships etc.     My goals for this spring semester is to obviously make good grades. I also want to have a strong good bye and a long lasting connection to all the seniors I am friends with. I will miss the seniors I know very much because of all the stuff we have been through. Im played sports with some and became very close to some in my classes I have them with and would hang out after school somewhere fun and I hope I can continue that.
