    Dear 13 year old, be careful who you're friends with. Get to know them by standing by for a while and if they're a good one, take them. Don't let them control your life and change who you're meant to be. Don't fall into the wrong crowd because they are the real influencers.

   Always listen to your parents on advice for friends because 99.9% of the time they are right. If someones mean to you, don't hold back your feelings. Tell someone because it will get fixed. Don't let your life be crushed by someone who deserves the joy of hurting you because they have nothing g better to do. From, a 14 year old.

   The few days we have had off from school have been very fun for my sister and I. On MLK day my sister was at her friends birthday party so I had the house to myself and I played Mario Kart until 2 AM. On Tuesday I played the Wii again with my sister for hours until we needed to do our school work.     On Wednesday (today) I jumped into my freezing cold pool and ran upstairs to the shower. Every step I took on the stairs my legs felt like they were breaking like thin ice. I am currently sitting in a hot tub writing this because I am still freezing!

reading response to VOMEW

    A Very Old Man with Enormous Wings  is about an angel that was stopped by weather at a newborns house. This story is set on a beach with lots of crabs. It had been raining for a while and the old man angel was toppled by the rain. The angel seemed really nervous around everyone, but comfortable at the same time. This was the most unrealistic story which set a weird mood on it.    This story had a dark and gloomy setting. It was a kind of scary atmosphere with an old angel man. This was also during the winter season. The crowd that the angel had attracted seemed excited and curious. This was a really depressing story.

research update

research question: Why was feudalism a successful system of governance and social hierarchy in the Middle Ages?   Feudalism is what changed economy around the world. It's like a bigger version of trading, but different. I wanted to study it during the Middle Ages because that's when it came about. I think feudalism is very interesting because a person could have land by only paying with their loyalty and service which is just very different.     I thought this would be an easier topic to do a research project on because we have already done a unit on it in history class. I'm not the best at history, but I comprehended the feudalism topic pretty well and thought it would be easy for me.
